India pacer Mohammed Siraj and Australia batter Travis Head were involved in a heated exchange during the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar series in Adelaide. During the second day of the match, Siraj was seen giving Head a fiery send-off, after which a few words were exchanged between the 2 players.
While both the players have their own version of the story, a report from The Daily Telegraph has claimed that both Siraj and Head are set to be penalized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the act.
Though neither of the two is expected to be suspended, sanctions in the form of fines are likely to be imposed on both of them. The sanctions are expected to be announced following a disciplinary hearing today.
As Siraj came out to bat on Day 3 of the pink-ball Test, he and Head had a brief chat in the middle over the incident. After the match concluded, both the players even shared a hug which delighted the fans.
It will be quite interesting to see if the banter between Siraj and Head will continue in the 3rd Test of the series which is set to be played in Brisbane from December 14.
