The 2024 F1 season just ended on Sunday (December 8) and you may be wondering when the next season starts.
Lando Norris picked up the last win of the Formula 1 season this year, securing second place in the Drivers Championship and securing his team McLaren’s win in the Constructors Championship.
While the drivers who are returning next year are set to go on a long break before the 2025 season, there will still be the 2024 post-season test in Abu Dhabi, and in a few months the 2025 pre-season testing.
As fans and drivers have down time from the sport, we’ve got the full list of dates and cities the 2025 F1 season will take place, which kicks off in Australia in March and ends in Abu Dhabi in December.

“2025 will be a special year as we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship, and it’s that legacy and experience that allows us to deliver such a strong calendar,” Formula 1 CEO and President Stefano Domenicali previously shared in a statement. “Once again, we’ll visit 24 incredible venues around the world, delivering top class racing, hospitality, and entertainment, which will be enjoyed by millions of fans worldwide.”
“We’re grateful to the FIA, our promoters, host city partners, and all the related ASNs for their commitment and support in delivering this schedule and securing what promises to be another fantastic year for Formula 1,” he continued. “I would also like to pay tribute to our F1 teams and drivers, the heroes of our sport, and our fans around the world for continuing to follow Formula 1 with such incredible enthusiasm.”
Once again, there will be 24 races and six sprint races across the year.
