Grant Scott believes a busy week ahead is the perfect opportunity for his Hibernian side to bounce back from Sunday's derby defeat at Oriam.
A tight match lacking in clear-cut chances went the way of the hosts - knocking Hibs out of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup at the Third Round stage.
Georgia Timms netted the only goal of the game in the second half to put Hearts through, but Scott refused to lambast his side despite the loss.
"We are very disappointed to have lost the match and be out the cup," he told Hibs TV post-match.
"Our objective was to come here and be in the next round. I don’t think it was a great game but we cancelled each other out again. The last game was close, this game was close.
"We felt we had more opportunities at Tynecastle and the critical moment was ours that day. I think it’s gone the other way today. It was a game of very opportunities and they have took theirs when it came.
"We are disappointed but not disappointed with the performance, as such."
Looking ahead following the cup exit, Scott has made it clear that he will not allow his players the time to suffer following the tough result.
With two games in six days to come - an away trip to Dundee United on Wednesday before hosting Motherwell on Sunday - the Hibees will need to get back on their feet as they chase those above them in the league.
"We are in for a tough week. An away trip to Dundee United, we dropped points there last season. We need to be on it for that. Then a tough game against Motherwell at the weekend.
"The good thing about football is you don’t get too long to wallow and I certainly won’t let players do that, that’s not my style.
"It’s a tough one to take today. We will all be disappointed tonight.
"The games come thick and fast, we’ve got to be back on it because we are chasing points to stay in touch with the teams above us."
