Former Italy international Sergio Porrini believes that the time has come for Juventus to move on one player wanted by Tottenham.
It was not long ago that Nicolo Fagioli was seen by many as Italy’s next big superstar, with the midfielder winning the Serie A Young Player of the Year award in 2023.
In a space of 18 months, the 23-year-old’s stock has fallen rapidly, with the Juve Academy graduate now struggling to get game time under Thiago Motta.
It has been widely reported over the last few days that Tottenham are plotting a January move for the Bianconeri star.
It was even revealed by Tuttosport a couple of days ago that a €25m (£20.7m) offer from Spurs may be enough to prise the midfielder away from the Allianz Stadium.
Sergio Porrini has now asserted that the Serie A giants should not think twice about selling Fagioli if they get a sizable offer.
When asked about the Italy international, the former Juve defender told Tutto Juve: “If the right amount were to arrive, I would honestly sell him. In this Juve there is no star. So, everyone is important and no one is indispensable.”
While Spurs do need reinforcements in the middle of the park, winning the race for Fagioli may not be straightforward.
This is because it has been reported recently by TBR Football that the midfielder is also on the radars of Aston Villa and Man City.
Additionally, Marseille, RB Leipzig, Atalanta and Napoli are also thought to be keeping an eye on the Juve man’s situation.
