Bruins greats Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand were reunited Saturday night in a charity game between the Boston Bruins Alumni Association and Warrior For Life Fund at Warrior Ice Arena.
Even though there was a game playing, what happened before puck drop has sent Bruins fans into a frenzy on a perfectly timed team photo with the Stanley Cup.
Marchand took the opportunity to sit on Bergeron’s leg for the photo. Marchand admitted it was not planned.
“You know, when I see his knee like that, it’s a force of habit that that’s where I’m going to sit,” Marchand told NESN.com after the game. “But, yeah, I feel like that was the only place to go in that situation.”
Bruins Alumni photographer Craig Michaud captured the moment perfectly and fans on social media couldn’t get enough.
