Better you never imagined you would hear this again: Mac Jones helped the New England Patriots.
Jones, who threw two first-half interceptions, led a fourth-quarter touchdown drive which ultimately lifted the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 10-6 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. In doing so, Jacksonville dropped from No. 1 on the 2025 NFL Draft board to No. 5.
The Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants and Patriots all benefited from the result with each of those teams jumping one spot from last week.
Here’s a look at the current top 10, per Tankathon. The order is made up of overall record and strength of schedule. The lower a team’s strength of schedule and win percentage, the better their draft standing.
1. Las Vegas Raiders (2-11, .535)
2. New York Giants (2-11, .544)
3. New England Patriots (3-10, .462)
4. Carolina Panthers (3-10, .488)
5. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-10, .493)
6. Tennessee Titans (3-10, .516)
7. New York Jets (3-10, .516)
8. Cleveland Browns (3-10, .523)
9. Chicago Bears (4-9, .566)
10. Cincinnati Bengals (4-8, .486)
The Patriots, however, are still very much in play for the No. 1 pick. Prior to the Week 14 slate, ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) gave the Patriots the best chance to land the top selection.
New England’s road to another win won’t be easy with the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills (twice) and Los Angeles Chargers on the schedule. Las Vegas, however, still has a matchup against Jacksonville.
Perhaps Jones will help the Patriots out again by throwing up on himself in Sin City.
