Full houses at home. Away sellouts. 5k at Barnsley yesterday. Yet, always quiet? Why?
Home games all you can usually hear are the away fans. Occasional KRO on repeat unless we score.
Away is normally where our fans make some noise but even then they’re quiet. I sat with Lincoln fans at our game with them the other week and we never made any noise until we were winning. Their 150 home (ultras) fans with the damn drum made more noise than our lot.
Reading the other teams forums they are all saying we’ve great support in numbers, but create no atmosphere. They’re right. Stockport supporters the other night all said goes quiet we were.
Anyone know why? Like a library at times. Sad. Hate to say it but do we need our own ‘ultras’ to get things going. Always felt that was a bit small time but we need to do something it’s embarrassing as it is.
Went to a game in Edinburgh the other week, Hearts vs some European team and the home fans never stopped singing. A right racket. They have a small ultras section being the goal who never stopped and it got the rest of the crowd going. Crystal Palace often used as a good example.
What can we do?
