Donald Trump lied about a variety of subjects in his latest NBC interview, according to a report from Rolling Stone.
Trump has largely avoided in-person news interviews since he defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. But the president-elect ended that streak with a well-publicized interview in which NBC host Kristen Welker pushed back on Trump after he claimed that gangs of immigrants were "taking over."
That same interview contained a variety of lies, according to Rolling Stone's reporting about what they say are his "biggest lies."

"Donald Trump gave his first network interview since the election and spread falsehoods about immigrants, the Affordable Care Act and — of course — the 2020 election," the report states. "In an interview that aired on Sunday’s Meet the Press, Trump gave his usual bluster and ignored some important facts."
The article goes on to call out the moment Trump claimed that the U.S. had “13,099 murderers released into our country over the last three years” who were undocumented immigrants.
"That claim is false," the report says. "Trump may have pulled that number from a letter the deputy director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sent to Rep. Tony Gonzales that listed 'the number of noncitizens on ICE’s docket convicted or charged with a crime.'"
Another lie, according to Rolling Stone, is related to him claiming credit for saving Obama's signature health care law.
"Trump repeated a false claim that he said during the presidential debate, alleging that he 'made it so that it (Obamacare) works' and said, 'I am the one that saved Obamacare,'" according to the outlet. "But as president, Trump tried to repeal and roll back the Affordable Care Act through multiple channels, including executive action, lawsuits, and Congress."
Trump also refused to concede the 2020 election, which he lost, according to Rolling Stone.
