Four people were shot, one fatally, after a car accident in Cicero on Sunday, Cicero officials said.
About 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Cicero Avenue a crash occurred and four people were shot, Cicero officials said. One of the wounded later died. Details on the crash or what led up to the shooting are unknown.
It comes a day after a Cicero police officer was shot in the back after he and another officer approached an illegally parked vehicle in the early hours of the morning Saturday. The wounded officer was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in serious condition and has since stabilized, Cicero officials said.
