Apple iPhone 17: American tech giant Apple launched its latest iPhone 16 series in September this year. Thousands of people across the world queued up outside Apple outlets to buy the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Now, months after the launch, the iPhone 17 series has started to create a buzz. Recent leaks hint at what Apple iPhone enthusiasts can expect from the 2025 lineup. Several leaks suggest that Apple is planning the biggest design overhauls. The iPhone 17 series might have four models: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Here’s what we can expect from Apple’s 2025 iPhone lineup.
Rumours have it that Apple is gearing up to introduce its newest addition, the iPhone 17 Air, commonly referred to as the Slim due to its ultra-thin design. It’s expected to make a big splash as potentially the thinnest iPhone ever created, measuring a mere 5mm to 6mm in thickness. Built with a high-grade titanium-aluminium frame, the Air version is set to have a unique look, with its central rear camera bump adding an extra touch of style.
iPhone 17 might have a larger 6.3-inch display, making it different from older iPhones. Other models, such as iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, are rumoured to have a durable rare panel made up of half-glass, half-aluminium improved durability.
Every model now comes with the ProMotion display, previously an exclusive for Pro variants, allowing a smooth 120Hz refresh rate across the board. Whether you’re scrolling or gaming, you’ll notice smoother transitions. Plus, an Always-On Display feature is now standard. To top it off, Apple has stepped up their game, adding scratch-resistant and anti-reflective coatings for an enhanced user experience.
The iPhone 17 series is rumoured to have A19 chipsets (TSMC’s N3P technology) under the hoods to pump up performance. The new series might also see RAM upgrades—12 – 12GB of RAM for the Pro models and 8 GB for the standard. The Air versions could have 8 GB of RAM.
The iPhone 17 collection is set to take cellphone photography to a whole new level. Particularly, it’s anticipated that the Pro Max model of the series will be the pioneer, boasting three 48MP cameras that consist of Wide, Ultra Wide, and Tetraprism Telephoto lenses. On the other hand, it’s rumoured that the iPhone 17 Air will come equipped with a solo 48MP rear camera that’s centrally placed.
