RACEVIEW ROAD (2.05 Kelso, nap)
This six-year-old was just getting going at the end of three miles when second at Carlisle last time. George Bewley’s chaser has run well at this specialists’ track a couple of times and this marathon should be right up his street. He won’t mind what the ground does and there’s plenty of juice in his current handicap mark of 105.
PROTEKTORAT (1.50 Huntingdon, nb)
He won the Ryanair Chase over this sort of trip last season and should get the bit of give in the ground that he likes. He was a good sixth on comeback in a Cheltenham handicap and can see off Ginny’s Destiny again.
DARE TO SHOUT (3.15 Kelso, nb)
He has done well since switching to fences with a debut second at Hexham before scoring nicely at Carlisle last time. He has plenty of staying power and a 4lb rise for that last success is more than fair.
MATATA (2.40 Kelso, Lucky 15)
Held his own in Grade 1 company last season and should be too strong. He has run well twice already this term with a first and second at Cheltenham. Gunsight Ridge fell at the last there and they meet again today. The tip looks capable of better and can score for the Twiston-Davies team.
