AUSTIN (KXAN) – The City of Hutto and Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 3 marked a significant milestone Friday with the grand opening of its fourth fire station located in the Star Ranch subdivision.
A ceremonial fire hose uncoupling — Hutto’s version of a ribbon cutting — was held at Fire Station No. 4, officially named the Anne Cano Fire Station. This name honors Anne Cano, a dedicated two-term Hutto councilwoman and proud advocate for the community, according to the Hutto Fire Rescue Department.
Hutto continues to experience rapid growth as more residents move into the area, increasing the demand for essential services like fire rescue. City officials expressed optimism that additional fire stations and services will follow to meet the needs of the expanding population.
The new station is located at 161 Klattenhoff Lane, marking a new chapter for Hutto Fire Rescue as it strengthens its commitment to serving the community.
