After revealing to the world earlier this year that she is fighting cancer, Kate Middleton’s adoring fans have been paying close attention to the news, hoping for updates on the beloved princess’s health. The future queen herself released a video earlier this week with a brief update:
"This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted," she said. "Of simply loving and being loved…Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. However, despite the uplifting video , sources close to the royals are reporting that all actually isn’t well. "[Kate] is not in remission and not cancer-free," the royal insider says. "She’s not in good shape at all… it’s going to be a tough road ahead for both her and Charles. I had thought Charles was more treatable but both of them are not well."
Shockingly, the source continued, saying the concern is "one of them won’t live very long" and "plans need to be in place." Meghan Markle may have worsened Prince Harry and Prince William's already strained relationship. The Duchess of Sussex said something about her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, during her and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey last year, which reportedly damaged the royal siblings' relationship.
Multiple outlets claimed that Prince Charles' two sons' relationship suffered when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. However, the former Suits star said something during her and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey for a CBS special last year that reportedly damaged the two princes' relationship.
Royal correspondent and Mail on Sunday's assistant editor Kate Mansey spoke to Palace Confidential and suggested that Markle's claim Kate Middleton made her cry affected Prince Harry and Prince William's bond.
"It was such a shame. It was described to me as civil which is palace courtier for what the rest of us would refer to as frosty," Mansey said as quoted by Express. "You do wonder whether it could be their kind of gift to the Queen to make up somehow. But there's been so much said obviously, Oprah."
She added, "I do think those comments aimed at Kate were extremely damaging to the brothers' friendship. Then we have this book coming out and who knows what will be in it."

Queen Elizabeth has mobility problems, but she's trying her best to be present in major royal events. She even made a surprise appearance by joining the senior royals on the balcony during the Platinum Jubilee finale earlier this month. However, she looked frail in her most recent photo during Garter Day, according to reports.
The 96-year-old British monarch stepped out to join the senior royals on Garter Day. Express shared a snap of the monarch with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, ahead of the Order of the Garter Service at St George's Chapel.
In the snap, the Queen wears a white gown with a blue sash. She is also noticeably holding a walking stick.
The outlet noted that "Queen health fears erupts as frail monarch pictured with cane during Garter Day." The netizens echoed the same sentiment.
"The Queen looks so frail (crying face emoji), but beautiful," one commented with a red heart emoji.
"The Duchess looks particularly lovely today in her robes & hat. And so wonderful to see HMTQ looking beautiful even if a little frail," another added.

The Queen is already in her advanced years, but she is determined to serve the monarchy until her last breath. That's why she still attends royal engagements if her body allows it. The Queen has no other health problems aside from "episodic mobility," which the palace announced in May when she decided to cancel her attendance at the State Opening of Parliament.
"The Queen continues to experience episodic mobility problems, and in consultation with her doctors has reluctantly decided that she will not attend the State Opening of Parliament tomorrow," a statement from Buckingham Palace, Us Weekly reported. "At Her Majesty’s request, and with the agreement of the relevant authorities, The Prince of Wales will read The Queen’s speech on Her Majesty’s behalf, with The Duke of Cambridge also in attendance."
She also contracted COVID-19 in February after Prince Charles and Camilla's diagnoses. She was fully vaccinated and only experienced "mild, cold-like symptoms" at the time.
However, she is still experiencing the lingering effects of her bout with COVID-19, which was "tough on her" as it continues to leave her feeling "very fatigued."
"It [Covid] does leave one very tired and exhausted, doesn't it?" the Queen said in a video call to the Royal London Hospital in April, BBC reported. "This horrible pandemic. It's not a nice result."
The Queen "has been advised by her loved ones and trusted advisors to go a lot easier on herself, even if it means missing more functions than she would like," an unnamed source told Us Weekly last month.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry arrived in the U.K. this week for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration. They were spotted a day before the four-day celebration kicked off, but the reception was allegedly not that warm.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted at the London airport after a private flight Wednesday. They were accompanied by a few staffers and their two children, Archie, 3, and 11-month-old Lilibet.
Prince Harry's family was fetched by the Queen's car and security, Page Six reported. However, despite that, they reportedly received a "frosty reception" in some quarters.
"But I still think it’s very, very frosty in some quarters," Daily Mirror's Russell Myers said on Sky News Australia, per Express. "There needs to be a lot of water under the bridge before they are invited around the Christmas dinner table anytime soon."
Despite that, the couple was seen joining the Trooping the Colour the following day. However, some royal fans were disappointed because they didn't notice Prince Harry and Markle.
Apparently, they kept a low profile to ensure that they would not upstage the Queen. The pair is expected to maintain their presence in the background all throughout the event.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not make a balcony appearance during the Trooping the Colour because Queen Elizabeth decided to limit the royal line-up to working royals only. However, the royal couple were still present and watched the flypast at the Major General's Office with some royal children.
Markle and Prince Harry were both photographed shushing the kids. They were also seen talking to the Duke of Kent.
BBC's royal correspondent Sean Coughlan weighed in on the couple's presence in the U.K. amid the Queen's unprecedented celebration. In his opinion, Prince Harry and Markle may have been urged to keep a low profile.
"Prince Harry and Meghan will have been urged to stay on-message and remain in the background, part of the backing band rather than the centre of attention," he said (via Express).
The Sussexes were reportedly cooperative and promised the Queen not to take center stage.
"They promised the Queen that they wouldn’t upstage her," Myers added. "Certain people at the Palace were very, very nervous about their attendance here.."
