Returning First Lady Melania Trump has broken her silence on her son Barron becoming a TikTok sensation – and said he’s a big reason his dad Donald Trump won the election.
Melania sat down with Fox & Friends and opened up about Barron after watching wildly popular clips of him saying ‘I like my suitcase’ as a four-year-old, and speaking like a gentleman aged 18 and 6-foot-9 on Election Day.
‘I see the clip that you just showed, I feel like it was like a few months ago,’ she said on Friday morning.
‘But time goes so fast.’
Melania, who kept Barron’s life private while raising him, acknowledged that the New York University student is ‘a grown, young man’.
‘I’m very proud of him, about his knowledge about politics and giving advice to his father,’ said the incoming lady.
‘He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore.’
She elaborated that the younger generation spends most of their time on their smartphones and tablets, and watch podcasts and streams.
‘He was very vocal and he gave advice to his father,’ Melania said.
‘Was incredible how he brought in success because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact and to talk to.’
Barron has been credited with helping his dad win the ‘bro vote’ but urging him to do interviews with videogame streamer Adin Ross and popular podcast host Joe Rogan, who wound up endorsing Trump.
Melania also gave some insights into Barron’s life as a college student. His classmates have said he usually sits at the back of the room and goes quickly in and out with his Secret Service detail constantly surrounding him.
‘I don’t think it’s possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college is very different from any other kid, and I’m very proud of how he’s handling it,’ Melania said.
”He’s very strong and he knows that he’s in a different position than other children.
.I just say make your dreams come true. This is your role. This is your life. And make sure that you listen to yourself.’
In the wide-ranging Fox News interview, Melania admitted that her husband’s second time in the White House is going to be ‘very different because we already know where we’re going’.
She is reportedly unlikely to live at the White House full time, as Barron attends college in New York City and lives at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.
