In this week’s “Survivor 47” deleted scene from Episode 12, it’s day 21 on the Beka beach and the final seven players are confused by their latest Treemail. Are they about to take part in a reward challenge, an immunity challenge, or a combined challenge? Either way, Genevieve Mushaluk knows she is on the bottom of her tribe and she will need to “win or … win” — there are no other options. Watch the video above.
The unaired clip begins with Andy Rueda reading the note aloud to the other six players: “With great power comes great responsibility. And that power is hard to attain. The end is in sight and the prize within reach. This pressure could drive you insane.”
Teeny Chirichillo chimes in, “I do think ‘responsibility’ means choosing people, but I also think it’s kind of vague enough to where it could be both.” Meanwhile, the other castaways start questioning the wording of the Treemail and whether they’re going to tribal council that night or not. Spoiler alert: they’re not.

Genevieve takes over the narrative as she tells the camera privately, “No one’s really clear — is it reward, is it immunity, is it both? If it’s just reward, that would be fantastic. It buys me more time, and time is what I need right now. If it’s an immunity and reward challenge today, I need to win or … win,” the 33-year-old corporate lawyer from Winnipeg, Manitoba adds with a chuckle.
In a private confessional, Caroline Vidmar reveals, “So, we get a Treemail and, for the first time, our tribe isn’t actually sure if we’re going to tribal council or not. What we do know is that there is a reward that’s at stake and it’s pretty clear that it’s gonna be a very important decision of who goes on this reward. For me personally, I am itching to go on a ‘Survivor’ reward. But, at the same time, the end is in sight. So this is the time for strategy, this is not the time to be weak-willed and eat food.”
As viewers already know, Sam Phalen ended up winning the reward challenge and he chose Geneieve and Andy to go with him to the Italian-themed Survivor Sanctuary. That’s where the three of them concocted an “Operation: Italy” plan that successfully caused the other four players to split their votes, ultimately sending Caroline to the jury shack.
Now, only six players remain on the island. Who will be voted out next when the “Survivor 47” finale airs over two weeks, on Dec. 11 and Dec. 18?
