CHUCK Norris has revealed his mum has died aged 103 in a heartbreaking tribute.
The acting icon, 84, broke the sad news on social media and posted an emotional message this evening.
The actor said ‘she embodied the love of Christ every day’ and signed off his tribute ‘Until we meet again’[/caption]He shared sweet family photographs showing the pair through the years.
Norris wrote: “Wednesday morning, my brother Aaron and I’s wonderful mother went home to be with Jesus.
“Our mom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God’s grace.
“Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish.
“She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own.”
The Walker, Texas Ranger star added: “From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion.
“I am so thankful for the countless lessons she shared, the prayers she lifted for us, and the way she embodied the love of Christ every day.
“We love you, Mom.
“Until we meet again.”
Norris, born Carlos Ray ‘Chuck’ Norris in 1940, grew up in Oklahoma, with mum Wilma and dad Ray Dee Norris.
His mother was of Irish descent while his father was of Cherokee descent.
The actor is the eldest of three, with brothers Wieland and Aaron.
Early in his career he trained as a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo.
He also served in the United States Air Force and was a prolific martial artist, with many championships under his belt.
This led him to start training Hollywood celebrities, and eventually his charisma saw movie rolls coming his way too.
He appeared in The Wrecking Crew, 1968, and the found fame when pal and fellow martial artist Bruce Lee asked him to portray one of the main villains in The Way of the Dragon in 1972.
Norris was also close to Steve McQueen, who urged him to start acting seriously.
The martial artist has since become an iconic on-screen presence, and also became a New York Times bestselling author twice.
