THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A man was shot and killed in the Bronx on Thursday afternoon, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened around 3:34 p.m. at 688 East 223rd Street.
Police say they received a 911 call for an assault. Responding officers located a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS took the man to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police investigations are ongoing. No arrests have been made.
