Joey King‘s Hulu limited series We Were the Lucky Ones was released earlier this year and it’s still getting acclaim and attention!
The 25-year-old actress stepped out to help honor showrunner and creator Erica Lipez at Variety’s Faith And Spirituality In Entertainment Honors on Wednesday (December 4) at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.
The honorees “are individuals who are supporting the frequently underrepresented theme of faith in entertainment storytelling” and represent “diverse portrayals of faith and spirituality that are broadly compelling and nuanced.”
We Were the Lucky Ones was just nominated for Best Limited Series and Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television for Logan Lerman.
Joey took to her Instagram Stories to celebrate the nominations. She wrote, “CRITICS CHOICE!!!!!! Wow. I am so honored to be part of this show and so grateful to everyone involved in making it. Thank you Critics Choice for this recognition. And I’m so so proud of you Logan. You brought Addy’s story to life so beautifully.”
FYI: Joey is wearing a Sportmax look.
