Taylor Swift has built an army of millions of fans reaching every corner of the globe, but it's safe to say she can't count sports commentator Skip Bayless among them.
On the Dec. 2 episode of his podcast The Skip Bayless Show, the former First Take host and his wife Ernestine Sclafani Bayless began discussing Swift's place in U.S. culture and her impact on music. Sclafani Bayless wasn't shy about her feelings. "I know I’m un-American, but I am not a Taylor Swift fan," she said.
Bayless, for his part, agreed and said plainly "I don’t get her."
The couple went on to discuss how much both young people and women their age look up to the "Shake It Off" singer. Sclafani Bayless expressed that she isn't the biggest fan of her music, preferring to listen to the styles of artists like Bonnie Raitt, whom she says is partially responsible for Swift's sound.
Bayless then focused on a simpler question. "So if we're going on 'hot or not hot,' Taylor Swift to me [is] not hot. But that's just me. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
Sclafani Bayless acknowledged Swift is "a cute girl" but she herself is "not a big fan." "I know people like her, but she’s not on my turntable," she said.
It's not the first time Bayless has aired out his honest thoughts about Swift. A year ago, the former Undisputed host called Swift a "distraction" to Kansas City Chiefs players—including her boyfriend Travis Kelce—following their Christmas Day game loss. Head coach Andy Reid was quick to shoot down the claims.
