TOPEKA (KSNT) - A Shawnee County jury has a found a man guilty of several crimes, including murder in the second degree, following a deadly 2023 shooting.
Katie Garceran with the Shawnee County District Attorney's office said in a press release on Thursday, Dec. 5 that a jury found Steven Hunter Jr., 47, guilty of three charges. These included the following:
Hunter's charges stem from an incident on Dec. 22, 2023 where Topeka police officers found 42-year-old Jennifer Eisele dead from a gunshot wound. Hunter was identified as a suspect in the case and later arrested. Both Hunter and Eisele were in a romantic relationship.
