GAVIN and Stacey fans have a festive treat in store as the BBC has reveealed that it will air a special documentary after the final ever episode this Christmas.
The one-hour documentary will see a trip down memory lane for the cast and crew as they film the final ever episode of the hit BBC comedy.

A source told The Sun: “The Beeb viewed this as a momentous occasion and wanted to give Gavin & Stacey a suitably auspicious send-off.
“The fact that the documentary will be made by Fulwell 73, which is co-owned by James and is a co-producer of the sitcom, means they’ll enjoy full access on set and get all the biggest chats.”

In the most recent installment, Nessa got down on one knee to declare her love for Smithy and asked him to marry her.
Now, viewers are looking forward to seeing what happened after the shock proposal and whether they live happily ever after.
The 2019 special was the most successful single episode of any comedy programme on any channel, reaching 18 million viewers.
Five years later, we meet the cast as life moves on in many different ways for them all.
In Barry, Nessa has become an entrepreneur, while her son Neil the baby is also looking to begin an apprenticeship with his dad.
Gavin are trying to spice up their 17 year marriage and Bryn is planning on taking a trip down the motorway for Christmas.
Meanwhile, Pam is panicking about hosting Christmas as Mick has now retired and Pete and Dawn continue to face marital problems.
This year’s special will see all the main cast reunite one final time.
We will see Matthew Horne back as Gavin, Joanna Page as Stacey, Ruth Jones as Nessa, James Corden as Smithy, Melanie Walter as Gwen), Larry Lamb as Mick, Alison Steadman as Pam and Rob Brydon as Bryn.
From its humble beginnings in 2007, Gavin and Stacey has become one of the nation’s treasured programmes, and many are looking forward to its return.
