A THIS Morning star has revealed their bizarre hobby – admitting to collect over 1,000 teddy bears.
The ITV fan-favourite regularly appears on the daytime programme to go through that day’s headlines.
But opening up on his own life off-screen, Gyles Brandreth has revealed he is a keen collector of teddy bears.
The former MP, 76, has amassed such a stack that he has had to source a museum for the cuddly toys.
Appearing on The Wheel, Gyles explained his hobby after being picked by a contestant on his specialist topic of bears.
He said: “Well it’s all about bears and I hope it’s teddy bears.
“Because if it’s wild bears, I’m afraid it’ll be more divine intervention required.”
When quizzed on the number of bears he’s collected by host Michael McIntyre, the dad-of-three continued: “I’ve got over a thousand bears.”
He added: “I’ve got so many that we’ve actually put them in a museum up at Newby Hall in Yorkshire.”
Gyles made the revelation after contestant Roz picked his bear category – with former Love Island star Zara McDermott visibly stunned by his admission.
The scenes will air this Saturday night from 8:15pm – straight after Strictly – on BBC One and iPlayer.
Meanwhile, Gyles was recently spotted out in London with his former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield.
Phillip and Gyles looked in great spirits as they headed for a swanky dinner at Charlie’s restaurant in Brown’s Hotel in Mayfair.
They were joined by Gyles’ wife Michele Brown, and were reportedly dining in the restaurant for several hours.
