Aroldis Chapman all but confirmed he’s signed with the Boston Red Sox.
Chapman posted to X shortly after it was reported the flame-throwing left-hander agreed to a one-year deal with the Red Sox. Chapman will earn $10.75 million on the one-year pact, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
“Let’s go!” Chapman captioned a photo of himself in a Red Sox hat.
The 36-year-old Chapman is coming off a 2024 campaign with the Pittsburgh Pirates in which he pitched his most innings (61 2/3) since 2015. He recorded a 3.79 ERA with 98 strikeouts.
