Kerry Washington is stepping out for the premiere of her new Netflix movie!
The 47-year-old actress joined co-star Oprah Winfrey and director Tyler Perry at the premiere of The Six Triple Eight on Tuesday (December 3) held at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles.
Fellow cast members in attendance included Ebony Obsidian, Gregg Sulkin, Moriah Brown, Jay Reeves, Pepi Sonuga, Sarah Jeffery, Shanice Shantay, Kylie Jefferson, and Milauna Jackson along with producer Nicole Avant.
The day before, Kerry received a very prestigious honor!
The new movie is inspired by the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in WWII. Despite facing racism and sexism – and grueling working conditions – they were committed to serving their country with honor and distinction. Given an extraordinary mission and united in their determination, these unsung heroes delivered hope and shattered barriers.
The Six Triple Eight will be released in select theaters on December 6 ahead of a streaming release on December 20. Watch the trailer here!
FYI: Oprah is wearing Nikos Koulis earrings.
