While Donald Trump gears up for his big return to the White House, his daughter Ivanka is making it clear how much she does not plan to join him there. Over Thanksgiving weekend, while her father hit the links with Lindsey Graham in West Palm Beach, Ivanka was living it up on a wave simulator with her family.
Ivanka posted photos and videos of her adventure to her Instagram Story on Sunday, which showed her learning to surf while flashing the “hang loose” sign. The series is strongly reminiscent of Obama’s famous 2017 kiteboarding outing, in that it really screams “I am choosing water sports over politics.” Also seen was Ivanka’s 11-year-old son boogie boarding on the 40-foot FlowRider, and she posted a selfie with a flamingo, adding the caption, “Photobombing a flamingo.”
All of this is consistent with what we know about Ivanka’s plans for her father’s upcoming term, which reportedly involve staying in Miami and keeping up her workout routine at Gisele Bündchen’s boyfriend’s studio. Speaking of: Bündchen just so happens to also love surfing and live in Miami. Do I sense a burgeoning friendship?
