Disneyland has reopened five attractions and plans to bring back three more after seasonal refurbishments during the busy winter holidays just as the Christmas season kicks into high gear at the Anaheim theme parks.
Little Mermaid — Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, It’s a Small World, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Sailing Ship Columbia reopened in November following scheduled downtime at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train are scheduled to return in December after being shuttered for refurbishment at Disneyland.

Storybook Land Canal Boats will be back on Friday, Dec. 6 and Casey Jr. Circus Train is scheduled to return on Saturday, Dec. 7 after brief refurbishments closed the interconnected Fantasyland attractions for less than a week.
The Big Thunder Mountain mine train roller coaster in Frontierland that offers the wildest ride in the wilderness is scheduled to reopen on Dec. 13 after a monthlong refurbishment.
DCA’s Little Mermaid dark ride reopened in late November after a month-long refurbishment.

It’s a Small World and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure both opened on Nov. 15 as part of the kickoff of the winter holiday season at Disneyland.
The endearing and enduring Fantasyland boat ride with the earworm soundtrack was closed for seasonal maintenance and to undergo its annual transformation for the winter holiday season.
The Splash Mountain log ride underwent a yearlong transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure that introduced a new “Princess and the Frog” theme to the attraction.
The Sailing Ship Columbia was closed for a few days in early November while the “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular was dark.
The Dumbo the Flying Elephant spinning kiddie ride in Fantasyland closed twice — each time for a single day in October and November.
