The storefront of a Goodwill Store in Redlands sustained significant damage after burglars rammed a stolen pickup truck into it, stealing a safe before fleeing the area early Sunday morning, Dec. 1.
Around 2:30 a.m., only a few minutes after stealing a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck, burglars used the stolen truck to ram through the front window of the thrift store located at 411 East Palm Avenue. A safe was stolen from the store, though the contents of the safe were unknown, Redlands police spokesperson Carl Baker said.
The pickup truck was found abandoned shortly after, left running in a residential neighborhood near the store, Baker said.
The suspects fled in a second undisclosed vehicle and no arrests have been made. It was unclear how many suspects were involved.
