Cheryl Hines has finally figured out how to take advantage of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s bizarre vibe. She’s using it to sell candles. In a video posted to her Instagram Story over the weekend, Hines hawked her Hines + Young brand of candles and linen sprays from the bathroom while RFK Jr. showered behind her. What a wacky guy!
“You can’t, you can’t take a shower. I’m doing a video,” Hines told her husband — whose crotch area was perfectly hidden by her head — through peals of laughter. “You gotta give me a second. I’m doing a video for Hines + Young.” She tried to get his attention one more time before giving up and telling us that everything was 60 percent off for Black Friday.

I know we’ve sort of thrown the idea of decorum in politics out the window, but RFK Jr. is the nominee for secretary of Health and Human Services. We do not need to be seeing him in the shower. He’s not even hot, which is a factor that would make this stunt immediately more compelling. Instead, we have to look at an old man showering while his wife pretends to be annoyed. This is really no better than those obviously fake TikTok videos where couples prank each other.
That being said, the video did work on me in the sense that I was previously unaware that Cheryl Hines sold candles. Mission accomplished?
