BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A member of the Mara Salvatrucha gang, otherwise known as the MS13 gang, was arrested at the Peace Bridge late last month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced.
According to officials, 24-year-old Franklyn Hernandez Giron was arrested after he did not present a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative compliant document on Nov. 22. An investigation found him to be a MS13 gang member from Honduras, officials said.
Giron was taken into custody and processed to face removal proceedings.
