TOPEKA (KSNT) - Kansas lottery officials are reporting that someone in the northeast portion of the state recently hit a large Powerball prize.
The Kansas Lottery reports on its website that someone purchased a Powerball lottery ticket with a value of $50,000 on Nov. 30. The winner has one calendar year to collect the prize money before it expires and is returned to the lottery.
This lucky Kansan was just one of five people nationally to win a $50,000 prize on Nov. 30. This requires the winner to match four white balls and the Powerball. The winning numbers for this lottery game were 4-24-29-39-63 with a Powerball of 25.
Players can still try their luck to get the current Powerball jackpot prize of $224 million, amounting to $106 million in cash value. The next drawing will be on Monday, Dec. 2.
The Kansas Lottery will not reveal the exact location where a winning ticket was sold until after it is claimed. The northeast Kansas area includes the following counties:
