Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar had an awkward incident when he stepped out for a night out with some of his friends in Mumbai recently. A video of Arjun Tendulkar getting pushed in public outside a restaurant is going viral on social media.
In the video, Arjun Tendulkar can been seen getting pushed as he is about to enter a restaurant with a crowd of paparazzi around him. Arjun is heard saying, “Tu dhakka kyun maar raha hai (Why are you pushing me)”.
However, the young Goa and Mumbai Indians all-rounder dealt with the situation with a smile on his face to ensure that the matter didn’t get out of hand. Fans commented that Arjun Tendulkar behaved like his legendary father Sachin Tendulkar would in this situation.
The 25-year-old spent some time at the restaurant and headed out once again surrounded by paparazzi but acknowledged them with a smile on his face once again, without getting bothered.
Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar was once again bought by former champions Mumbai Indians for Rs 30 lakh at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction last week. Arjun became just the 4th cricketer after Jaydev Unadkat, Harpeet Brar and Glenn Maxwell to be bought by an IPL franchise three times at the auction.
Arjun Tendulkar was bought for Rs 20 lakh by MI at the IPL 2021 mini auction and retained for the IPL 2022 season. In IPL 2023, MI beat Gujarat Titans to bring Arjun Tendulkar home for Rs 30 lakh and in IPL 2025 mega auction he was once again bought – making it the third time.
The left-arm pacer made his IPL debut in 2023 and has played in five matches for Mumbai Indians so far in his career to pick up three wickets. This season in Ranji Trophy cricket, he picked up his maiden five-wicket haul for Goa.
Arjun, thus, achieved something even his legendary father Sachin Tendulkar wasn’t able to do – pick up a five-wicket haul and score a century in first-class cricket.
