In India we are awestruck with the impressive car collection of billionaires like Mukesh Ambani, there are rich people around the world who own an assembly of vehicles which far more opulent than one can imagine. One such example is the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, who boasts the world’s biggest car collection of a mind-boggling 7,000 cars!
The massive car collection of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei features 600 Rolls Royce cars, including a 24-carat gold-plated one from the British automaker, as well as 25 Ferraris.
The Sultan and his family, who live in one of the largest palaces in the world, have a massive car park/garage in their 1,788-room palace, where these cars are parked. The Sultan’s expansive car collection was revealed when pictures of the colossal garage went viral on social media.
According to reports, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s collection also includes a Bugatti EB110, a Bentley Buccaneer, six Bentley Dominators – the company’s first SUV – and a 1996 Bentley Buccaneer, a sporty coupe, as well as the Silver Spur II, which was used on his wedding day.
The collection also features several custom-built cars which have been made-to-order according to the Sultan’s preferences, these include, a Bentley Camelot, Phoenix, Imperial, Rapier, Pegasus, Silverstone and Spectre. The royal family of Brunei owns 380 Bentley, but the Sultan seems to have a special fondness for Rolls-Royce, as his collection includes 600 Rolls-Royces, including a gold-plated one.
The Sultan’s collection of Rolls Royce cars includes custom and special variants of Rolls-Royce cars such as Majestic and the Cloudesque, which are huge, luxury limousines. The cars are parked in a giant parking lot-esque automotive palace, which has separate wings for different brands of vehicles.
Although Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei boasts the world’s largest car collection which is estimated to be valued at well over $5 billion, he is apparently not richer than Indian billionaires Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani, both of whom have a net worth far higher than Brunei’s monarch.
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah has ruled Brunei since 1967, and has ‘served’ as the country’s prime minister since its independence from the United Kingdom in 1984.
According to various reports, the Sultan has an estimated net worth of around $30 billion, comparatively lower than Indian business tycoons, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who have net worth of $101.6 billion and $66 billion, respectively, as per Forbes..
