A WOMAN in her twenties, has revealed that she is dating a 52-year-old man, who happens to be her dad’s best friend.
Myla Del Rey, 26, began dating her father’s best friend when she was just 18-years-old and he was 44.
She said that her older man was at first hesitant to enter a relationship with her due to the age gap, which she saw as a good sign that he was not a creep.
Myla said that she feels very respected in the relationship and isn’t fazed by the age gap at all.
She even films adult content with her man, and posts it online.
However, Myla’s (lifeofmyladelrey) relationship has received a lot of criticism online.
Responding to a TikTok post, where Myla revealed that the couple began a relationship as soon as she turned 18 one person said: “You’re a victim for sure.”
In response to this, the content creator explained: “I am not a victim. My dad‘s best friend never did anything inappropriate before I turned 18.
“When I turned 18, I was the one who was into him and initiated everything.
“He was really hesitant to get involved because of my age, so it was all me.”
She confessed: “My dad’s best friend is actually really sweet and respectful!
“Our 26 year age gap doesn’t mean anything.”
Myla’s videos often poke fun at the relationship, for example, in one clip she appears shocked that her boyfriend’s tattoos are older than her, whilst in another she jokes that that his hearing aid fell on her whilst they were being intimate.
Her video’s have likely left many open-mouthed, with some racking up millions of views.
And social media users have been left divided by the relationship.
While some branded it “gross” others saw no issue with the relationship.
One person said: “That’s disgusting.”
Another added: “You’re actually gross for this.”
A third commented: “Now that’s just crazy.”
At the same time, someone else claimed: “That’s creepy.”
However, not everyone was as negative, as one user penned: “Forget the haters. Two consenting adults living their best life and enjoying each order.”
A second agreed: “8 years together and people are still haters. Shows they always will be.”
