A SUPERMARKET giant is axing the cheapest Quality Street deal on the high street within hours.
With just weeks until Christmas, the price of everyone’s favourite chocolates has been slashed to just £3.50.
Quality Street normally retails for £6[/caption]Last month, Sainsbury’s reduced the price of Quality Street and Celebrations across its UK stores, and all you need is a Nectar card.
However, the deal is ending tonight, meaning customers have just hours left to bag a bargain.
A 600g tub of Quality Street normally costs £6, so customers can save £2.05 if they’re part of Sainsbury’s loyalty card scheme.
You can grab the handy loyalty card on Sainsbury’s website by filling out a form for free.
The offer is currently the cheapest on the market, beating Aldi‘s low price of £4.49 for the same size tub.
The tub includes an assortment of individually wrapped milk and dark chocolates, toffees, the famous Green Triangle and The Purple One.
However, prices can change regularly, and deals can start and end at any time, so the chocolate tubs could still be cheaper between now and Christmas.
Sainsbury’s is far from the only supermarket to reduce the price of its Christmas chocolates before the festive season.
Prices have already been slashed to as low as £2 at Morrisons – although this deal has now ended.
Plus, B&M recently reduced the cost of a tub to £3.50 – but this has now gone back up to £5.50.
It’s worth going direct to discounter’s websites like B&M and Home Bargains, too, as they often have cheap chocs on sale.
Meanwhile, you can get your hands on a tub of Heroes for £6 at Asda, Tesco and Ocado.
Remember to always compare prices when shopping so you know you’re paying the right amount for what you’re getting.
A great way to do this is to use the comparison site Trolley, which shows the prices for every store.
A quick search on the Google Shopping/Product tab can also reveal the prices at which some retailers are selling items.

You need to be 18 or over to become a member and will need to register online to get your Nectar prices.
You need a Nectar account to get Nectar Prices and Your Nectar Prices.
It takes a few minutes to join, and you’ll also receive other great benefits.
If you are shopping online, make sure you add your Nectar card to your online Sainsbury’s account.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.
Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.
Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.
Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.
Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
