THE FA Cup third round draw sees Premier League sides and Championship teams join the pot of England’s oldest national football competition.
Dating back to the 1871/72 season, the FA Cup is open to every club in the country down to level nine of the English football league system – clubs at level 10 have the chance to stand-in for non-entries.

With no seeding involved, higher-level clubs including Prem teams enter the competition in round three entering.
Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are the defending champions, following a shock 2-1 victory over noisy neighbours Manchester City last season. Both finalists will be drawn in the third round.

Alongside the 24 teams competing in the Championship.
Ball numbers will be confirmed closer to the time of the draw on Monday, December 2.

The winning and losing clubs will receive £75,000 and £25,000 respectively from the competition’s prize fund for the second round.
