What We’re Tracking
After a narrow band of snow showers moved through yesterday, temperatures have really plummeted through the night. Temperatures are in the upper 10s for those with snow on the ground and lower 20s for our southern counties.
With saturated air, light winds, and clear skies, patchy fog has developed in spots, reducing visibility down to a mile or less. Since temperatures are well below freezing, any wet spots on the roads may refreeze this morning especially on bridges and overpasses. Make sure to still take it slow if you have to be out and about early.
It will be another cold day to wrap up the extended holiday weekend with plenty of sunshine. Afternoon highs will struggle out of the middle to upper 30s; further south into the lower 40s.
We'll get a reinforcement of some colder air Monday, dropping into the 20s tonight but with winds picking up from the North at 15-20 mph, it could feel like lower 10s and even single digits for our northern counties.
However, as we move into the rest of the workweek, temperatures will gradually warm back up. Potentially even above average with highs in the lower to middle 50s by Wednesday. Rain chances remain slim to none throughout the upcoming week.
