The Bonfim brothers will once again compete on the same UFC card.
At a UFC Fight Night event scheduled for Feb. 15 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Gabriel Bonfim and Ismael Bonfim will look to repeat the success they found at UFC 283 in January 2023.
Gabriel (16-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) battles fellow rising welterweight Rinat Fakhretdinov (23-1-1 MMA, 5-0-1 UFC) in a bout first reported by Eurosport NL.
Ismael (20-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) will battle Ray Longo-coached Nazim Sadykhov (9-1-1 MMA, 2-0-1 UFC) in a three-round lightweight bout, which was first reported by Laerte Viana.
UFC 283 is the only time the brothers have competed on the same UFC card to date. Gabriel submitted Mounir Lazzez by guillotine choke in 49 seconds, shortly after Ismael sent Terrance McKinney into unconsciousness with a violent switch knee.
Since then, Gabriel has gone 2-1 with wins over Trevin Giles and Ange Loosa, as well as a loss to Nicolas Dalby. Ismael has gone 1-1 with a loss to Benoit Saint Denis and a win over Vinc Pichel.
Fakhretdinov enters the bout off a controversial unanimous decision win over Carlos Leal in October. The victory extended his winning streak to two, also including a split decision win over Dalby.
Sadykhov won back-to-back fights over Evan Elder and Terrance McKinney prior to a majority draw against Viacheslav Borshchev in November 2023. Sadykhov has faced multiple cancellations since due to opponent withdrawals.
With the additions, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Feb. 15 includes:
