The 2024 Qatar GP would see the Williams Racing Team suffer more misfortune with both Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto suffering with their own problems during the race. Franco would not even get past Turn one when he was crashed into by Ocon who had in turn being hit by Hulkenberg. This would see Franco go straight into retirement. For Alex his race would also see contact on the first lap with Stroll and after that he would struggled for pace. With a Safety Car the team changed him to the soft tyre rather than the hard. This was a gamble that saw him move into the top ten but eventually the soft tyres would degrad seeing Alex go backwards. On top of his issues there was a penalty for his involvement in a Turn one moment with Magnussen. Overall Qatar was just another disappointing event. Next it is off to Abu Dhabi for the final race of the season. Hopefully they can finish the season with an event free weeekend.
