It’s an amazing play and even more so if you watch the end in slow motion.
Duke’s had a wonderful football season but it didn't start out looking like it would be. Mike Elko left for Texas A&M in the middle of the night and Riley Leonard took off for Notre Dame. Things were not looking good.
A.D. Nina King hired a known coach in Manny Diaz, but things ended poorly at Miami and, well, who knew?
As it turned out though, Diaz was the right guy and he led Duke to a 9-3 regular season record, concluding with Saturday’s come-from-behind win at Wake Forest.
This team has shown a lot of heart all season and it did again Saturday, coming back from 14 down to win on the last play of the game.
Maalik Murphy connected with Jordan Moore for a 39 yard touchdown as time expired. It’s a great play in general, but what’s really cool is the move Jordan does at the end.
He catches the ball at about the 10 yard line and when a Wake defender closes on him, he slows down, allowing the guy’s momentum to carry him into position...
...Where Moore was. Because spun to his right and the defender, who was still moving to his left, could only watch helplessly as Moore waltz into the end zone as time expired.
To call it a boss move would be criminal understatement.
