I’M A Celebrity viewers have hit out at radio DJ Dean McCullough for catty comments towards WAG Coleen Rooney.
In the latest jungle instalment from ITV‘s I’m A Celebrity, scouse WAG Coleen Rooney revealed her husband Wayne Rooney didn’t put on a lavish proposal when he popped the question.
Coleen explained how husband Wayne proposed at a petrol station when they were in their teens[/caption]Revealing to the camp that her husband proposed to her when she was 17 and they were in a petrol station, Coleen’s confession shocked the camp.
As Revered Richard Coles quizzed her alongside camp mates, Coleen shared: “I knew it was gonna happen but I definitely didn’t know it was gonna be in a petrol station, but I’m glad we didn’t do it in a restaurant to be honest with you.
“We were only young, so we went back and had corned beef hash instead!”
As Dean McCullough and Reverend Richard Coles nodding along with her, it appears one of them wasn’t being totally honest.
Speaking in the Bush Telegraph direct to camera and away from camp, Dean then delivered a catty comment as he sniped: “Coleen I’m not being funny babe but I would have run a mile.
“But then I would have missed out on the big house, the nice life and the four day wedding, and everything.”
Viewers at home didn’t miss the catty comment either, as one said: “Why is it we have to keep seeing Dean comment on everything in the hut?”
Another added: “This is how you know Coleen Rooney is down to earth. Wayne proposes in a petrol station and she says yes.
“Meanwhile Dean says he would have run a mile. No class about him at all. Deluded.”
Another shared: “‘I would’ve ran a mile’. One of the only real things Dean has said.”
“Dean’s partner is going to run a mile after seeing his behaviour in the jungle!” remarked another.
The comments came as Dean became the second celebrity to be eliminated from I’m A Celeb tonight, following Loose Women star Jane Moore‘s exit.
Speaking about his time in the camp, Dean told Ant and Dec: “I have really, really soaked up this whole experience, all the trials, you know, the things that I faced. I got stuck in at camp, done a bit of everything, and I really, really, really enjoyed it.
“And when I woke up this morning, I thought, if I go today, I am over the moon because I’ve not missed out on anything.”
I’m A Celebrity continues weeknights at 9pm on ITV.
