A star-studded India Under-19 team will be up against Pakistan Under-19 in match No. 3 of the ongoing ACC Asia Cup 2024 tournament at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Not only is this a clash between the two arch-rivals but they are also the two strongest teams in Group A of the tournament.
The other two teams in Group A are United Arab Emirates and Japan. Group B consists of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Under-19 teams apart from Nepal. The match will be of special interest to the Indian viewers as it will provide first glimpse of young 13-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
The young Bihar cricketer became the youngest-ever player to be bought in IPL auction history when he was bought for Rs 1.1 crore by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2025 Mega Auctions in Jeddah this week. The side also includes 17-year-old Mumbai batter Ayush Mhatre, who can called for a trial by Chennai Super Kings ahead of the auctions after reportedly impressing MS Dhoni.
Apart from this batter C. Andre Siddharth from this squad was picked for Rs 30 lakh by CSK at the mega auctions.
