The reconstruction of France's world-famous landmark - Notre-Dame Cathedral - appears to be a "success" as the now restored medieval edifice was unveiled during President Macron's visit Friday, lecturer in liberal arts at Queen Mary University of London Andrew Smith told FRANCE 24. "A cathedral takes 200 years to build and this, in five years, looks like an extraordinary project", Smith said as he emphasised the large number of resources used to help rebuild the cathedral which was partly destroyed in a 2019 fire.
