BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10) -- The Bennington Police Department announced the unexpected death of its K-9 Gracie. She passed away on Thanksgiving after a sudden medical event.
Gracie was rushed to the Capital District Veterinary Hospital in Latham but unfortunately, she passed before they got there. She was assigned to Officer Robert Murawski for the last eight years.
K-9 Gracie had more than 500 deployments, found more than 70 people, visited schools and other events, and was loved by the Bennington community. The police department will hold a memorial service for K-9 Gracie in the near future.
