Deji woke up the crowd in Qatar after a slow start to his fight.
The heavily favored influencer boxer needed just two good shots to put opponent Dawood Savage down for the count, showing his power advantage and leaving Savage down for the count in Round 3.

Deji looked mostly disinterested through the first two rounds as the smaller Savage endlessly circled around him while sneaking in jabs. While there was little in the way of meaningful action, it was distinctly possible that Deji was down on the scorecards heading into the third.
None of that mattered when Deji took advantage of Savage carelessly exiting a clinch with his head exposed. Deji whiffed on an uppercut, then connected with a straight left that sent Savage flying to the mat. Inexplicably, the referee appeared to view this as a slip and not a knockdown.
He may have been on to something as Savage recovered quickly. However, the next exchange saw Deji land an overhand right and then shove a stunned Savage to the canvas.
The official time of the stoppage was 0:32 into Round 3.
Afterwards, Deji thanked Savage and praised him for taking the fight on short notice after several previous opponents dropped out.
