Salma Hayek‘s Wicked love continues!
The 58-year-old actress and film producer shared her congratulations for the hit movie’s team on Thanksgiving (November 28).

What you might not know is that Salma originally teamed up with ABC to develop a miniseries based on Gregory Maguire‘s novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, which is the source material for the hit Broadway musical.
All the way back in 2011, Erik Jendresen was set to pen the script for the eight-hour miniseries, via Variety.
As for whatever happened to it, Wicked author Gregory Maguire responded to TVLine with “an emoji shrug,” telling them through a spokesperson that “while the rights to such a non-musical filmed presentation are still owned by a separate entity, there has been no apparent movement to use those rights by said entity.”
