TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The 77th annual Troy Turkey Trot, one of the oldest races in the country, has come and gone, and the winners of the Thanksgiving day tradition are in. The rainy weather didn't stop over 7,000 people from attending to take part in the annual event.
Winners of the 10k and 5k races for both men and women as well as the grade school mile have been announced, and they are as follows:
This year’s event supports two local charities: The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and Joseph’s House and Shelter. Charity leaders said the funding will go a long way in helping them serve the community.
