PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Big box stores like Walmart and Target aren't the only ones holding sales for Black Friday.
Local Portland businesses have been advertising their own sales for the big day, as well as Small Business Saturday deals. Learn more about where you can shop for gifts, or for yourself, this weekend.

Humboldt neighborhood thrift store Cascade Union will offer 20% off most purchases this Friday. The sale doesn’t cover clothing items placed on the $5 and $10 racks.

Portland’s biggest comic book store will hold a sale all weekend long, featuring comics sold for just $0.25, $0.50 or $1. Customers will also have an opportunity to fill a large box of comics for up to $200.

Although Record Store Day is typically held in April, Music Millennium is celebrating the holiday on Black Friday as well. The vinyl shop will sell exclusive records from MF DOOM, Snoop Dogg, The Veronicas and more.

Red and Friends will offer up to 50% off on Friday and Saturday, with prices determined by the multiple vendors selling their products in the store. The second-hand shop that features vintage items will also allow customers to “spin to win” prizes on Friday.

If you’re running low on pet supplies, Salty’s is discounting products like cat litter, cozy caves and dog treats. The store will offer a variety of sales through Monday, Dec. 2.
