Protestors have been arrested at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York after trying to block the iconic procession.
Around 20 pro-Palestine supporters tried to stop the parade as the Ronald McDonalds balloon arrived on Sixth Avenue.
Images show protestors with signs reading ‘don’t celebrate genocide’ being tackled to the ground by police.
This is the second year protestors have attempted to stop the procession.
Last year a group glued their hands to the parade route, prompting Mayor Eric Adams to warn those against any plans of protest.
He said: ‘I really want to take the moment to tell those grinches that believe they are going to disrupt the parade that it is not going to happen.’
Parade watchers were heard booing the group, with many in the crowd chanting ‘USA!’ as the protestors were arrested and taken away.
