When he adds that her recently deceased mother would be disappointed in her, Avery says she never wants to see him again.
Ten years later, Avery is spending her first Christmas with her boyfriend’s family and she is desperate to impress his mother.
But to her horror, she discovers Lucas is also part of the holiday festivities.
She decides to hide their romantic history and swears Logan to secrecy, but will their sparks of romance flame again?
Our Little Secret follows Lindsay’s previous film Falling For Christmas.
Speaking about it she said: “I love that because my character goes through a very real-life, kind of romantic struggle.
“Where she revisits someone from her past that she had a relationship with prior, and it’s kind of a tug-of-war situation where she doesn’t know what to do”.
Fans are loving that the film sees Lindsay starring alongside Tim, who played Principal Duvall in the 2004 film Mean Girls.
Tim also reprised his role as Principal Duvall in 2024 when he starred in the Mean Girls musical adaptation.
The musical included a guest appearance from Lindsay, who played the naïve Cady Heron.
In a special reunion in Our Little Secret, Tim plays Stan, a family friend alongside his on-screen wife Margaret, played by Judy Reyes.
A fan posted on social media: “the principal from mean girls is in this movie with lindsay!!!! my heart!!!”.
Another added: “ I’m sat here happy”.
Viewers are enjoying the storyline and saying that it’s the perfect Christmas romcom.

One fan raved: “#Ourlittlesecret is a delightful and heart-warming Christmas film for the holiday season”.
A second fan added: “It’s charming, witty and emotional”.
“It’s so fun” agreed a third.
But critics haven’t been so kind with Variety saying: “It’s cringe”.
Collider has described it as a ‘stiff, poorly written comedy that is somewhat saved by the performances of its two leads’.
But the Guardian stated: “The star’s third film with the streamer is the best yet even if the bar is incredibly low”.
It looks like everyone will need to watch it themselves to decide if its worthy of being added to their annual Christmas binge.
