The Lowdown
Our youngsters come into Friday’s match in positive spirits having beaten Aberdeen 4-2 in their last outing. A brace from Josh McDonald and strikes from Dean Cleland and Josh Landers sealed all three points.
McGregor’s youngsters currently sit third in the U18 CAS Elite League behind Kilmarnock and Rangers, albeit they have a game in hand over table-toppers Killie.
Our Under-18s have only been beaten once during the 2024/25 campaign, in what has been a really positive season so far.
Our wee Hibees booked their place in this stage of the Scottish Youth Cup after a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Dunfermline Athletic.
The teams played out a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes before the match went straight to penalties – with the Hibees eventually running out 4-2 winners in the shootout.
Our Opponents
Ross County currently compete in the CAS Performance Under-18 league, a division below the Hibees.
The young Staggies have been involved in the Scottish Youth Cup since the First Round, they overcame Elgin City (7-3) and Lossiemouth (8-0) in the opening two rounds before knocking out Motherwell with an impressive 1-0 away victory.
